Fire hydrants are installed in the City of Clarence-Rockland to ensure that our fire department has access to an accessible and adequate water supply for fire suppression.
Contractors who require a hydrant for work within the municipality must obtain a permit. This permit costs $75 per trip and must be approved by the City of Clarence-Rockland and the Ontario Clean Water Agency.
