CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – August 27, 2021 –Municipal Council has appointed Mario Zanth as Mayor of the City of Clarence-Rockland. Mr. Zanth will be sworn in at the September 8th, 2021, Regular Council Meeting and will hold the position of Mayor for the remainder of the term.
As Mr. Zanth served as Councillor for Ward 2 since 2014, his seat will become vacant. Municipal Council will address the procedures to follow in order to fill the position shortly.
The office of Mayor of the City of Clarence-Rockland was officially vacant since August 4th, 2021, following the passing of Mr. Guy Desjardins on July 3, 2021.
