The Parks and Recreation Master Plan outlines priorities for the short, medium, and long term for parks and recreation services in the City of Clarence-Rockland, with guidance through 2031. This plan supports planning, budgeting, and implementation of goals.

It is flexible and will guide municipal decisions for the next 15 years, with recommendations that can be implemented individually.

The Recreation and Culture Master Plan is a comprehensive roadmap that will guide the future of recreational facilities, programs, and cultural initiatives in Clarence-Rockland. This plan will help ensure that our community’s recreational and cultural offerings meet the needs of residents of all ages, enhance quality of life, and reflect the values and aspirations of our growing city. By gathering input from the community, we aim to create a plan that promotes active lifestyles, community engagement, and vibrant cultural experiences for everyone.

Join Us for the Recreation and Culture Public Consultations!

The public sessions in Rockland and Bourget are your chance to share your passions and ideas for the future of recreation and culture in Clarence-Rockland. Whether you're a volunteer for a community organization, a participant in programs, or a user of our facilities, parks, and public spaces, we want to hear from you!

In this first round of public meetings, you’ll receive important information about the project and be invited to share your ideas, concerns, and suggested solutions to improve access to recreation, health, and wellness in all communities across the City.

  • October 22 – Optimiste Performance Hall, Rockland - 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • October 30 – Bourget Community Centre - 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Once a draft plan is developed, you will have more opportunities in the coming months to attend an in-person session to provide feedback on the vision and priorities for recreation and culture in the years ahead.

Recreation Master Plan 2016 

In February 2016, the City of Clarence-Rockland adopted its Parks and Recreation Master Plan. It is a document that guides decisions about investments in parks, recreation facilities and programs. The plan is for a 15-year term.

Many of the recommendations provided are stand-alone and can be implemented separately.
