July 6, 2022 - The Paul Simoneau Natural Park, located at 126 Silver Lane in Rockland, is officially inaugurated. Mr. Paul Simoneau was a resident of the municipality who was very involved with the Clarence-Rockland Environmental Society. He worked hard to preserve a wooded area during the construction of Village Morris. In August 2015, Clarence-Rockland Municipal Council named the wooded parcel of land on Silver Lane in honor of Mr. Paul Simoneau, who had passed away earlier that year.
The ribbon was officially cut by his wife Lise Simoneau, Mayor Mario Zanth and Carl Grimard, Councillor for Ward 3, in front of family and friends.
