Be Prepared – Special Weather Statement in Effect
As you may know, Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement warning of significant ice accretion due to freezing rain. Forecasted conditions include:
- Ice buildup: 5 to 15 mm, with some areas possibly exceeding 20 mm
- Snow and ice pellets: 5 to 15 cm
- Potential impacts: Slippery surfaces, broken tree branches, and utility outages
Are You Prepared?
