New waste management program at the municipal dump
CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – April 26, 2021 - The City of Clarence-Rockland is undertaking a waste management pilot project to improve service efficiency. This pilot project will replace the free weekends at the landfill site, for a year-round, modified access.
Here are the highlights of the project:
- The two free weekends at the landfill site, held in the spring and fall, are cancelled;
- Each Clarence-Rockland address will be allowed to bring to the landfill site a cumulative weight of 140 kg annually;
- After this maximum is reached, a fee will be applied, depending on the weight of the load;
- The residential fall clean-up will be maintained;
Residents will be notified of the start date of this project in the coming weeks.
