Fall cleaning for the residential sector
CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – September 15, 2021 - The residential Fall Clean-Up program will take place from September 27 to October 8, 2021, on the usual garbage collection day. Residents will be required to place their regular garbage (limit of 3 bags) and recyclables on one side of the driveway and large items/scrap on the other side. Please place items curbside on the ground before 6:30 am.
A maximum volume of 4' x 8' x 4' will be collected. Metal items must be placed apart as they will be collected separately.
The following items will not be collected:
- Tires;
- Animal carcasses;
- Construction materials, such as: wood, wood with nails, dry wall, earth, stones, rocks, bricks, asphalt paving, patio stones;
- Hazardous materials, industrial and liquid waste;
- Propane tanks and fluorescent tubes;
- Vehicle bodies and parts, truck cabs, boats;
- Organic yard waste (bush, trees, grass, leaves, stumps, etc.);
- Blue box and black box recyclable materials;
- Electronics (TV, radio, DVD, etc.);
- Bale wrapping plastics; and
- Refrigerators or any appliance containing refrigerant gases.

We would like to remind residents that the free weekends at the landfill site are replaced with a program where each residential address in Clarence-Rockland can throw a cumulative weight of 140 kg per year away at the dump free of charge.
