Update on the Cyber Breach
CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – November 1, 2021 – The City of Clarence-Rockland would like to inform residents that, at this time, there is no evidence that personal data was accessed or stolen following the cyber incident that occurred on October 25, 2021. The information was encrypted which makes it unusable. This has been confirmed by a reputable cyber forensics firm that has been retained to work with the municipality.
City operations continue and municipal employees now have access to their emails. If you attempted to contact the city in the last week via email and have not received a response, we recommend that you resend your email. Please note that the processing of any pre-authorized payments will be delayed, however, no late penalties will be applied.
The City thanks you for your patience and understanding.
