Women's Competitive Hockey - Level 1 OPEN - 18+

Duration: 20 Weeks

Location: Clarence Creek Arena (418 Lemay Street, Clarence Creek, ON)

*maximum 20 players and 2 goalies

Program Details 
  • For women 18+
  • Competitive LEVEL 1 OPEN - intended for women who have played BB or higher and are looking for fast-paced, high intensity gameplay.
  • 20 games, teams re-mixed each week

Rules and Regulations

Thank you for registering for the City of Clarence-Rockland Women's Competitive Hockey League. 

Below you will find important information regarding the logistics of the league.

 

RULES and Regulations:

 

No Slap Shots (wind up above the waist) – results in faceoff in defensive zone of offender

 

Body Checking is NOT permitted.

 

Player Changes: Players will be eligible to change at any time during the game.

 

Unless otherwise indicated in the Rules and Regulations, the City of Clarence-Rockland Adult Spring Hockey League rules are based on the current Hockey Canada Rule Book. The rules and regulations stated below either supplement or override the rules found in the aforementioned Hockey Canada rules.

The City has a zero-tolerance for fighting or abuse (verbal or physical) of officials, program leads, timekeepers or other players on or off the ice.

On-ice officials reserve the right to eject any players who do not respect these rules.  In the event of a rejection, the League organizing team will review each case and determine if further actions (warning or league ban) is warranted.

 

Rule Changes/updates: The league reserves the right to make any changes and/or additions to the league rules at any time during the season.

 

TIMING OF GAMES:

Period Lengths: The game clock shall start counting down from 25 minutes as soon as the Zamboni and rink staff is off the ice and have closed the gate behind them. The second period will start immediately after the first period ends and will count down from 22 minutes.

Warm-up: There will be a 3-minute warm-up period at the beginning of the first period. Teams will be encouraged to face-off at the 22-minute mark.

MISSING A GAME/SPARES:

If you can’t make a game, please text your captain as soon as possible.  Spares must be registered full time players from other teams or on the spare list (those who have signed waivers).

 

FACILITIES/Change Rooms:

Dressing Rooms: Dressing rooms are available 30 minutes prior to game time and are to be cleared within twenty minutes of completion of each game. Please check the board each week to see which room you are in.

Please respect other users of the facilities and leave the room in the condition you found it. IF there is an issue with damage and/or cleanliness, please contact the arena facility attendants immediately.
