CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – July 28, 2022 - Ontario's Francophonie is in mourning this week. Mrs. Gisèle Lalonde, who was described as a heroine of the Francophonie, passed away yesterday at the Montfort Hospital.
The names Gisèle Lalonde and Montfort Hospital will forever be linked. After a rich career in education and politics, it is with the SOS Montfort campaign that Mrs. Lalonde pursued her mission for the advancement of the francophone community in Ontario. Water restrictions - July 2022

July 20, 2022 – The City of Clarence-Rockland would like to inform the users connected to the municipal water system of the following watering restrictions.
The use of a mechanical sprinkler system for watering is permitted only during the following periods:
For addresses with an odd civic numberTuesday, Thursday and Saturday, between 7:00 and 9:00 am and 7:00 and 9:00 pm;
For addresses with an even civic numberMonday, Wednesday and Friday, between 7:00 and 9:00 am as well as 7:00 and 9:00 pm;

The Bourget landfill site, as well as the Rockland transfer station, are once again operating under regular summer hours. Thank you for your patience and collaboration during these last weeks.
Landfill Site - 2335 Lalonde Road- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:30am-12:30pm
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Inauguration of Paul Simoneau Natural Park

July 6, 2022 - The Paul Simoneau Natural Park, located at 126 Silver Lane in Rockland, is officially inaugurated. Mr. Paul Simoneau was a resident of the municipality who was very involved with the Clarence-Rockland Environmental Society. He worked hard to preserve a wooded area during the construction of Village Morris. In August 2015, Clarence-Rockland Municipal Council named the wooded parcel of land on Silver Lane in honor of Mr. Paul Simoneau, who had passed away earlier that year.

Special Storm Debris Collection Deadline Approaches

CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – June 27, 2022 - The City of Clarence-Rockland is asking residents affected by the storm in May to put their branches and stumps at the curb before July 4th. Operation Services employees will then make a final pass throughout the municipality to pick up the debris.
After this last pass, residents can continue to take their branches and stumps free of charge to the landfill site. In addition, residents who have obtained the special permit will still be able to burn their branches...
